Biographical Information:

Born Chicago, Illinois, March 1947.  Lived on East Coast for past 40 years. Like modernism and fairy tales, Josh Whedon’s “Dollhouse,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Love and Rockets comics. Inspired by abstract expressionist painters Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline, more realist modern artists like Richard Diebenkorn, Gerhard Richter, photographers Jeff Wall and Cindy Sherman. Traveled to China on artist exchange tour with Boston Printmakers in 2005.


Degree, Studio Arts, May 2004, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA; focus on printmaking.  Early professional art training at Chicago Art Institute and Washington University School of Fine Arts, St. Louis (1966-1968, major in painting); Art Students League, 1960s-1970s, awarded tuition scholarship by Raphael Soyer. Printmaking at New Haven Creative Arts Workshop, Manhattan Graphics and work/study as printer’s assistant at Norwalk Graphic Arts Center (now Center for Contemporary Printmaking), CT.
